I started dancing Argentine Tango nearly two years ago after moving to the UK, as an alternative to competitive swimming. At first, I was drawn to tango for its elegance at the surface, but over time, I discovered something deeper: the sense of presence, patience, and unique connection that builds over a tanda. Tango is truly addictive, opening the door to a world where movement feels inevitable.

My tango journey started in Beijing two years ago, and I’ve loved continuing it after moving to Oxford. I fell in love with tango’s blend of deep presence, focus, and improvisation, alongside its wonderful inclusivity, the idea that you only need a pair of shoes to find a connection anywhere in the world. As Secretary and a professional cinematographer, I’m excited not only to bring my organizational skills to the society but also to capture the many heartfelt moments that make our community so special.
Treasurer
I have been doing tango in my free time for roughly a year now and have absolutely loved learning and helping the tango community grow. Whilst not being the most advanced tango dancer I have found tango to be the perfect blend of fun and challenge whilst still being incredibly social. I feel so pleased that I am able to offer my help to organise and manage part of the Oxford Tango society.
